This 1902 photograph shows the Thomas Taylor home, circa 1890, at 2228 Robinwood Avenue. Mr. Taylor was the presdient of the Northwest Elevator & Mill Company. The Taylor family employed live-in domestic Emma Durfel in 1896 while in 1900 Matilda Bright lived as a domestic for the Taylor family. The 1910 city directory shows that the resident was George Freeman of Kelsey & Freeman. His biography and his photograph can be seen in Toledo and Lucas Coounty Vol. 2 on page 144. The funeral of Mrs. Mary Freeman, George's widow, was held in the home according to the June 2, 1933 issue of the Toledo News-Bee. | |||||
