527 Virginia was home to Freeman Dustman, the managing editor of the Toledo Blade, according to the 1896 Polk City Directory. George Pearson, a reporter with the Toledo Blade, boarded in the home that same year. Henry Quimby was the resident in 1900. Mr. Quimby was a bookkeeper with the Balde Printing and Paper Company. The 1910 directory listed Fred Lee but the 1918 directory indicated that the first floor was vacant. The second floor unit belonged to Ralph Emery. | |||||
