Here is a 1902 view of the Jacob and Alice Freeman Home at 2274 Glenwood. Mr. Freeman was a pioneer jeweler in Toledo. The house plans were drawn by Mills & Wachter with its construction in 1896. Mr. Freeman's biography and photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 246. The 1910 city directory listed Clara Droullard as the live-in domestic. In 1913, the home was turned into flats with permit #1917. In 1918, Herman Saxon, the president of the Saxon Manufacturing Company, lived in one unit and by 1921, John Hamer was the occupant. | |||||
