615 Baldwin Place
 
According to the Lucas County Auditor's records, the house at 615 Kent Place was built in 1907. It was constructed on lot #22 in the Hamilton's Extension of Baldwin Heights.  The 1910 city directory listed Harry Barton, a traveling salesman for the Western Shoe Company, as its occupant.  William Gilmore of the Gilmore Brothers, a shipyard and dry dock at the foot of McKinney, lived here according to the 1911, 1918 and 1921 city directories.  Mr. McKinney saw his street's name changed to Baldwin Place during his residence here.  Mary Gilmore, a teacher, boarded here in 1911.
