424 Islington appeared in this circa 1945 photo. Henrietta Ridenour, the widow of William Ridenour, lived here in 1896 along with boarder Anna Ridenour and the 1900 Polk City Directory also listed Marie Young, the widow of James Young. The 1910 directory listed Edward Culver, an inspector, as the occupant of this house along with boarders Edward B. Culver, a grain sampler, and Stella Culver, a cashier at James Melvin Company.  Mrs. Margaret Waite was listed as the 1921 resident.
