315 Winthrop was home to Susan Barnes, the widow of Charles Barnes, who lived in H # A The Winthrop Apartments according to the 1918 and 1921 city directories.  Harry Riess, a manufacturer's agent with the Buildrers Exchange, lived in # B according to those same directories.  Student Walter Riess roomed here.  William Vosper, the secretary of the Toledo Pipe Threading Machine Company, lived in # C in 1918, while Charles Brigham, the president and treasurer of the Dorr Street Lumber Company, resided here in 1921.  Harry Shepler lived in #D in 1918 while lawyer Charles Lewis Jr. of Doyle & Lewis lived here in 1921.  Charle Beall lived at # E in 1921.  Walter Jeffery lived at # F in 1918 snf 1921.  Jeffery's biography appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 423.  His wife was Gertrude Jeffery.
