The Historic Old West End in Toledo, Ohio

 

The Williston, 428 Winthrop at Collingwood Avenue, sat opposite the Miltimore Apartment House.  It was constructed on part of the William Bolles property and still stands in 2011 although awaiting redevelopment.  William Bolles had vowed that his land would be not sold to anyone but the finest citizens. (The Williston's was sadly demolished on December 13, 2011.)
