The Historic Old West End in Toledo, Ohio

 

Jack Taylor provided us with this early view of 361 Winthrop Street, originally known as Laskey Road.  Jesse Hurlbut was the owner.  The 1910 city directory indicated that Mr. Hurbut was with the Toledo Grain & Milling Company.  Mr. Hurbut's biography and personal photograph appeared in Toledo & Lucas County Vol. 2 on page 258.  HIs wife was Jennie (Camp) Hurbut and their daughter was Geraldine Hurbut.  Freda Jost was the family's live-in domestic in 1910.
