2337 Parkwood was home to Meyer Steinman and Hugh Pettit in 1925.  Mr. Steinman and his wife Rae lived  in one unit of this duplex.  He was the secretary of the National Cap Manufacturing Company.  The other unit was home to Mr. Pettit and his wife Angelia.  His occupation was listed as manager.  Fred Bailey and his wife Inez occupied the Pettit unit the previous year (1924).  Although the Lucas County Auditor's records listed the construction year for this duplex as 1907, the Polk City Directory has no listings for this address until after 1921.
