1930 Parkwood-George Metzger Home
 

The Charles Milburn home at 1930 Parkwood, shown here in 1901, was built in 1884 for the sum of  $10,000.  Mr. Milburn was the president of the Milburn Wagon Company located at 3134 Monroe Street.  According to the 1891 Polk City Directory, the live-in domestic was Emma Archer, while the 1896 directory listed Mary McNally and Ethel Martin as the family domestics.  This home has been demolished.
