2220 Robinwood-Chapel in Home

A retired priest lived with the family at 2220 Robinwood and a chapel was installed on the Bancroft side of the porch.  The home was built before 1896 and the garage in 1909.  The garage was designed by the architectural firm of Mills, Rheinhart & Bellman.   The 1896 Polk City Directory indicates that Abram Chesbrough, president of the Chesbrough Lumber Company, was the owner.  Augusta Witt and Lena Vogtberger were the live-in domestics at that time.
