2040 Robinwood

William H. Swan shared this photograph of his extended family taken in the summer of 1941 outside 2040 Robinwood.  "Billy" Swan is seen standing while his little sister Sally sits on their great-grandmother's lap.  Built in 1897, an early resident was Alfred Smith, the superintendent of the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad. The 1910 Polk City Directory reveals that Charles and Alice (Stroud) Turrner were the residents.  Mr. Turner's biography and his photograph can be found on page 282 of Toledo & Lucas County Vol 3.
