631 Baldwin Place
 
Lot #18 in the Hamilton's Extension of Baldwin Heights saw the construction of a house around 1910 according to the Lucas County Auditor's records.  The 1911 city directory listed Sylain Basch, formerly of 520 W. Delaware, as the resident of 631 Kent Place.  Mr. Basch along with Irving Frank ran Basch & Company, which imported diamonds.  By 1918, the house at 631 Baldwin Place was home to James Wood, the president of James A. Wood Company.  The 1921 directory lsited Estelle Bardo, a stenographer for the Ohio Savings Bank & Trust Company, and William Bardo, a superintendent.
