2926 Robinwood

2926 Robinwood was home to carpenter William Vollmar in 1900.  L. Mae Vollmar and Cora Vollmar, stenographers, boarded here that same year.  The 1910 and 1918 city directories listed laborer George Giblin as the occupant of this home.  By  the time of the 1921 directory's publication, George had died and his widow Mary Giblin was listed as the occupant.  The February 29, 1928 issue of the Toledo News-Bee reported a small fire in the boarding house at 2926 Robinwood operated by Mrs. M. C. Giblin.  Her two great-grandchildren, visiting with their parents Mr. & Mrs. Howard Leaser of 3034 Parkwood, were slightly burned.  The cause was defective wiring in the pantry wall.
